Roscommon Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Roscommon SPCA) Charity Number: CHY 18790 is a voluntary organization established in 1963 and is concerned with finding the animals in our care good homes. We also aim to promote animal welfare throughout Co. Roscommon and educate people on the importance of neutering their pets to help curb the staggering numbers of unwanted dogs and cats in the county and, indeed, throughout Ireland.
We are affiliated to the ISPCA and strive to help as many needy animals in the county as we can. We rescue as many dogs from pound situations as we have the space and funds for as well as taking in unwanted dogs and cats from members of the public when we are able to.
We believe that animals should have.
* Freedom from hunger, thirst and malnutrition. * Freedom from disease and injury.
* Freedom from discomfort. * Freedom to behave normally. * Freedom from distress and fear.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
You can help us help the animals by getting in involved in our fundraising events, by volunteering, fostering and many other ways.
