The Roscommon SPCA holds four Street Collections each year in Ballaghaderreen, Castlerea, Boyle, and Roscommon Town. These collections are essential for our organization, and we rely on volunteers like you to make them successful.

As the organizer, your role would involve several key responsibilities:

  1. Advertising and Recruitment: You’ll help us spread the word about the street collections through our media channels. Encourage volunteers to participate by appealing to their sense of community and compassion.
  2. On-the-Day Coordination: On collection days, you’ll need to be present with permits, collection buckets, and jackets. Ensuring that everything runs smoothly is crucial.
  3. Volunteer Organization: Coordinate volunteers effectively by assigning them to specific locations. Make sure they know where they should be stationed during the collection.
  4. Changeover Management: Be available during bucket changeovers and volunteer shifts. This ensures a seamless transition and maximizes our fundraising efforts.

If you’re passionate about animal welfare and community involvement, this role is a great fit for you! To express your interest or learn more, please fill out our Volunteer Inquiry Form here.
