Roscommon SPCA is on the lookout for a compassionate and organised individual to assist with their operations. The volunteer role requires a commitment of two days each week, with responsibilities including managing incoming calls and ensuring effective communication.

This position offers a chance to make a significant contribution to the community, acquire valuable experience, and support a noble cause. If you have a heart for service and enjoy engaging with others, your involvement could make a real difference.

This is a very important volunteer role as you will be the frontline for Roscommon SPCA.

It will involve in taking and recording calls on our call database.

Calls will involve:

Dealing with sick and injured animals.

Calls from people looking to rehome their animals.

Call to help find foster homes for cats and kittens.

We have an information booklet in place with all information called What to do if I get a call About?

There is very good support in place and you will not be alone in dealing with the calls. Having a strong command of English is essential, as is local knowledge.

The calls to Roscommon SPCA are confidential as they may contain information regarding Animal Welfare Issues, you will also be asked to sign a confidential agreement.
