Let’s Help Little Bear Together

Little Bear’s journey began in August 2025, when he was found as a tiny kitten suffering from fluid on his brain and recurring seizures. Although he has been receiving treatment since then, his current medications were no longer effective, and he had neurological assessments to determine the best way to support him.
He had an MRI scan, and the scan confirmed that Little Bear has hydrocephalus, a condition where excess fluid accumulates in the brain. It also revealed a defect in the corpus callosum—the structure that connects the left and right sides of the brain. This defect is congenital and affects his coordination and mobility.
The MRI further showed that the bones in his fontanelle have not yet fused, and some surrounding tissue is thinner than normal, a condition known as hypoplasia. Despite these challenges, Little Bear continues to receive seizure medication and palliative care in the loving, stable environment of his foster home.
If you’ve seen his photos, you’ll know he is the sweetest, gentlest little soul—full of affection and deserving of every chance we can offer him. Thankfully, he is currently comfortable on his new medication.
Little Bear’s veterinary care has reached €3,200 overall.
